[How I Wear] Zara Tie Up Blouse & Faux Leather Skirt Review

Zara Tie Up Blouse Review Zara Faux Leather Skirt Review

Don't you think the basketball hoops really make the photo?

Back with another outfit post! Let's just ignore the shit quality, since these iPhone photos were the result of an impromptu (and begged for) photoshoot with Mr. B. But I was really into my latest ZARA purchases (part 1 of the winter sale haul - yes, purchase #2 has already been made). It had to be done.

Top: Zara (here)
Skirt: Zara (here)
Tights: Target
Boots: Ivanka Trump (here)
Jacket: GAP (similar here
Bag: Alexander Wang (here)

On top we have the lovely tie-up blouse which has fast become a new favorite. I first saw it on Laura and would have purchased full-price if it hadn't gone on sale. I am always looking for neutral blouses that I can wear with anything (but who isn't). This works just as well dressed down with jeans as it does jazzed up with a skirt and tights, seen here. The cut is flouncy and flattering and I'm smitten with the effortless sixties vibe.

Now - the skirt. The skirt. This is actually my second time purchasing - I bought the black a few months ago - and I've been lusting after the forest green color for awhile. The $29 price tag was impossible to ignore. I'm so glad I got it, and my only regret is not purchasing the blush and bright yellow hues when this debuted at the beginning of fall. Zara consistently churns out really good faux leather, and this piece is no exception. I think the length is perfect for someone a little taller (5'6" and above) because you can wear it higher on the hip without your cheeks peaking out.

GAP Fleece Moto Jacket Review

I do have to quickly mention the jacket, because it's perfection and I hope GAP brings it back next fall. I've been looking for AGES for a non-leather black moto jacket that's soft and easy to wear with anything. Alex showed a great neoprene one from the Kooples a few months back and since it had sold out I've been on the prowl ever since. This fleece version is seriously comfortable and one of the most versatile pieces in my closet. It's easier to wear than leather but makes any outfit look "done". The name was the "Fleece Moto Jacket" so look for it Fall 2016 *crosses fingers*

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Moonstone Hourglass Blush Luminous Flush Chanel Saga Review

A quick note on my makeup - if you haven't caved and bought any Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks, do so immediately. I know its cruel to talk about Holiday collections in January, but she does great ones with these every year - so look for that next October. If you're in the market for a full-size, you can't go wrong with Rosegold, Amethyst, Khaki or Moonstone - the shade I have on here.

The rest of the look was very simple - I'm wearing my standard Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Luminous Flush (the best blush formula I've found) and my trusty Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Saga. Nothing else overly exciting to report - I slapped on some Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation (as per usual), dusted on Innisfree Powder and plopped on a pair of Ardell Demi Wispies (which I just found for a ridiculously cheap price - click the link!). Good to go.

Stay tuned for part two - as long my purchases don't look heinous! Have you picked up anything exciting from the Zara Winter sale?
