Product Rave: L'oreal Extraordinary Clay Shampoo & Conditioner Review

We're going to bypass the fact that I haven't posted in over a month (neglecting all self-promises made to increase frequency...2017 Blogging & Content Goals post anyone?) and talk about shampoo.

And conditioner.

The marketing team at L'oreal are WERKING because I was into the L'oreal Extraordinary Clay Shampoo & Conditioner as soon as my eyes scanned the label. Sulfate free? Silicone free?? Kaolin??? Montmorillonite???? My knees weakened while my hair concerns flashes on the pale blue bottles like a 1-800 number...

"...oily roots...dry ends...."

I absolutely love this, and the worst part is: it totally delivers on all promises and has made me second guess future high-end hair purchases *clears Sephora cart of $180 worth of Christophe Robin*

L'oreal Extraordinary Clay Shampoo & Conditioner

The shampoo is easily workable and lathers without much pressure (a nice change from the gummy sulfate-free formulas that line most drugstore shelves), while delivering a clean feeling that's not squeaky or straw-like. The conditioner is nourishing without being heavy. I'm a regular masque-r, so I leave it on while I shave (parts? you know) and exfoliate. I get the nice silky feeling I crave without the thick silicone residue. Love!

Generally I get greasy around the end of Day 2 when I wash. This combo helps prolong that by at least a day.  With maaaayyybe just a little Batiste thrown in at the roots for added oomph. Now, I'm kind of a rare case, with an extra-large-cheese-pizza level of grease, so you may experience a cleaner scalp for even longer.

As a fan of the L'oreal Extraordinary haircare line as a whole, this is better than any other formula I've tried to date. I've ditched the Extraordinary Oil (my most recent favorite) for the clay line, and I don't think I'm looking back. The best part is that the pair is a cool $8 ($3.99 each what what) and you can often find BOGO deals if you're on a tighter budget.

I hear their dry shampoo from this line is also a winner. Have you tried? Let me know!
